Burlesque for Beginners was fabulous. Viva is a talented and enthusiastic teacher and had an excellent knowledge of burlesque, which she generously shared. This really helped make sense of the day's activities. A well planned, prepared (thanks for bringing the pasties!) and delivered workshop and I came away feeling more confident and very happy. It was great to meet other burlesque fans at the workshop - a day well spent and I got a lot more (and did more - didn't think I'd have the nerve for the tassell twirling) than I expected. I had a great day, the nerves I had at the start of the day quickly disappeared and it was a really enjoyable unique experience, so much so I signed up for the classes for more of the same. I really enjoyed the beginners workshop and I think Gypsy is absolutely perfect for teaching that class. She was so funny and entertaining. I felt really comfortable around her. The course made me feel very good about myself. It definitely improved my self-confidence and how I feel about my body. I think the content was well chosen. I thought it was a really good and fun thing to get the body moving & learning new tricks - although becoming a burlesque dancer was far from my mind. The class was simply fabulous! I enjoyed every sparkly aspect of it, it was impossible not to as Gypsy Charms is an absolute legend. She made you feel at ease straight away and the whole class didn't stop laughing from start to finish. I had a ball! Viva was fantastic, effervescent, enthusiastic and comedic and was a beautiful performer to boot! Not only have I come away with skills in various forms of dance, but my creativity and confidence in my abilities has increased more than I could have wildly hoped for. I wasn't sure what to expect when I signed up for this course but I ended up meeting an amazing bunch of intelligent and beautiful women all of whom have become good friends. The teachers have such amazing energy and passion for the art of burlesque - it was contagious and and by the end of our first class we were all infected with it! This is a fun, creative and action-packed course where you'll learn what is unique and wonderful about you (regardless of shape and size!) and celebrating it by developing a performance character. We were taught that there is no right or wrong in burlesque and to explore every creative idea we had in an amazingly supportive atmosphere. I had an amazing time and I cant wait for my first performance in a few weeks time. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the teachers - in short they're INCREDIBLE - so inspirational, great teachers and now friends too. I'm so proud to be a graduate of the Ministry of Burlesque!

The difference it has made to both my abilities and my self confidence has been amazing. My fitness levels have improved, as have my poise and balance.
