These workshops are suitable for those who have completed a Burlesque For Beginners workshop or for burlesque artists seeking some inspiration, practice and technique refinement in a class setting.
The exact content of these workshops will alter on each date, offering you a variety of more in-depth techniques including peeling, chair work, cancan and cabaret classics. The variety and alteration of content means that you can attend as often as you like and be guaranteed to learn new things each time.
*SUNDAY 20th APRIL: For those of you who fancy the schlock '50s inspired work of John Waters (Cry Baby, Hairspray, A Dirty Shame), this Level 2 workshop will combine a classic cheesecake style with an infusion of sass - and lots of attitude.
Expanding on peeling techniques learnt in the Beginners workshop and using skirts, scarves and gloves, you will be immersed in a routine that follows a narrative involving a lover, an arch enemy and a great soundtrack. So ladies, let's bring it on!
CLASS TIME:
11am-2.30
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes which are suitable for dance and exercise. Also, please bring a pair of (small) high-heeled shoes that you are confident in, a skirt to wear over your dance clothes (a '50s-stye circular skirt would be ideal), a feather boa or a scarf, a pair of gloves and plenty of attitude!
