Burlesque For Beginners is a fun filled, intensive introductory workshop that will lead you on a whirlwind tour of the world of burlesque. The workshop is designed for everyone - from those who have no experience in burlesque, to those already seasoned in dance and other theatre forms.

The Burlesque For Beginners class will introduce you to the essentials of posing, peeling, teasing and character work. As well as learning how to portray a narrative and develop a character through expression, you will learn the insider secrets of how to pose like a professional pin-up, move like a Las Vegas showgirl and peel like Gypsy Rose Lee.

This workshop is easy to follow yet upbeat and is a great place to make new friends amidst tassels and giggles. This workshop is designed for you to discover your own personal strengths and individual flair as you learn to integrate the components in to a slick burlesque routine - which of course, rounds of with the finer points of nipple-tassel twirling!

CLASS TIME:

This workshop runs from 11.30 am - 5.30. Please arrive 10 minutes before the class is due to start.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes which are suitable for dance and exercise. Also, please bring a pair of heeled shoes (not too high) that you are confident in, long gloves and a front opening coat.
