MoB Academy Announces Dedicated Studios

MoB Academy are thrilled to announce that work has begun on the construction of their own studios in South London. The area (approximately 3,000 sq feet) will comprise of a dedicated practise space which will be made available to MoB members at a discounted rate (including MoB Cash).

The space will also double up as a TV studio for our forthcoming IP/TV channels, plus offices for our growing business.

We’re hoping to open the doors in late June or early July. More info to come soon.

MoB Academy and Bizarre Magazine host ‘The Battle of Burlesque’

Bizarre Magazine have asked the MoB Academy to help them find exquisite new talent for their forthcoming Bizarre Ball in London, set for this October.

As such, we are hosting our infamous Battle of Burlesque talent searches in conjunction with the glossy great. Battles will take place in London (late June) and Edinburgh (Early August) to do just that.

Participants will be pre-selected to ‘do battle’ and will be chosen from three regiments:

Bizarre’s Ultra Vixen’s and Ultra Vipers
Ministry of Burlesque’s Movers and Shakers
Regional champion’s nominated by agents and promoters

Today, CanCan aficionado and expert showgirl Viva Misadventure was Gok’s special guest on is famous television show.

Viva and her CanCan troupe, ‘A French Fling’ (comprised of ultra bendy, cart-wheeling, back-flipping leggy ladies), were involved in helping Gok’s participants feel great about showing off their pins too.

MoB Academy on Philip Schofield’s “It’s Now Or Never”, ITV1

In the summer Kittie Klaw was the burlesque mentor for a song and dance reality TV show - it is to be aired over the festive season.

Kittie was brought in to act as a confidence mentor and as a burlesque coach to help the eager but rather introverted and self conscious volunteer, Louise Holliday. After one short session the producers sighed with relief that Louise could let go of her fears, shake her butt and allow her natural charisma to sparkle through the mist of nerves, exhaustion and emotion.

The very lovely Louise did everyone proud and even donned the Burlesque name ‘LuLu Rouge’ for the occasion.

The show entitled, ‘It’s Now Or Never II’, will be aired on Saturday 30th December at 5:30pm on ITV1.
